Montreal Quotes from Shabbat in Tzefat

"We were in the old city of Tzefat for Shabbat. My friend was overwhelmed by the city's beauty, but was also disappointed that he could not capture its beauty on his camera, on account of it being Shabbat.

I felt differently.

The whole week in Israel we took pictures of what we had seen, for others to see. But on this Shabbat in Tzefat, Israel's beauty remained a personal experience, one that must be remembered in my heart and mind forever.

And it did not matter that I had no camera with me.

Michael Bybelezer

"The history of Tzefat is unreal. I wish I could spend more time here!

Hayden Bernstein
"The holiness of the city of Tzefat added to the spirituality felt on Shabbat."

Oren Weintraub
"Shabbat in Tzefat has been a wonderful experience.

We were given the option of attending one of three services. I chose to attend the first part of the Sephardic service, and then went to join the egalitarian service for most of the morning.

I went to the traditional the Sephardic service because I wanted to experience something I have never had the chance to take part in before.

I went to the egalitarian service because I love the idea of feeling part of the service, and being able to understand the meanings behind our prayers.

There is such history in this town, and it gave our prayers so much more meaning and beauty.

"The setting for our Shabbat in Tzefat was stunning and the scenery was breathtaking. I simply can't describe the beauty. We took a hike in old Tsefat and we saw Mt. Meron in the distance. When I saw the pink sky set, I felt full of hope for this country and our people.

Am Yisrael Chai!
