Dear Marissa....We have not seen the photos of Israel yet on the InterNet...however, after seeing the photos in Poland all week and then of Treblinka and Jedwabne, we realize that we are merely looking at these pictures, you have been there, and the full-hearted tearful emotions that we are experiencing, cannot possibly mirror the pain that you have been living through !
Thank G-d we have an Israel !
And Thank G-d that we were able to talk to you on the phone along with your parents and sister.
With our love, Bubbie Laura and Zaydie Syd Bowman, Peterborough, Canada.

Dear Lindz,
Your journey through Poland has ended tonight, as you depart for Israel.Judging from your upbeat voice and all the excitement in the background- everyone is thrilled to be leaving this dark place in Jewish history. To be able to follow your every move through the net was amazing and comforting. As we watch you walk through the horific path's that your grandparents did at exactly your age, we were filled with emotion. We are convinced that no one can possibly comprehend the magnitude of this trip.
Lindz, to you and your fellow marchers we are most impressed by your thirst for knowledge and understanding of the worst genocide of mankind. Your group has shown a real sense of maturity and dedication to Jewish heritage. You have all been extremely courageous and we at home are so very proud.
Enjoy Israel and party hard. Your last task awaits all of you- to educate future generations and keep youe jewish pride and identidy alive.
We miss you and anxiously await for your safe return home.
Love and kisses,
Mom, Dad and Casey mtl

so pleased to hear that you are having a great time--it must be a fabulous experience. Just looked at the pictures- you look so happy and involved. You are so forunate to have thismoportunity to discover the roots of many Canadians in Eastern Poland and then to continue to Eretz Israel, to the jewish homeland. I only wish that I had been as fortunate as you are to be involved in such a heart rendering experience. Be safe and come home enriched with your knowledge and love of our heritage
Fondly,
Gloria Howard

Dearest Iris,
As I scroll down each and every page of this chronicle, I search for the your image amongst the myriad of faces that is presented. The beauty, innocence and sheer awe expressed in the photos is truly a sight to behold.
As each day passes I am struck by the fact that you are a part of an unforgettable journey. You have decided to accept the responsibility of sharing your experience with others who need to hear your story. You are a witness that must speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.
As you reach Israel, the mood is surely quite different from a mere nine months when we were there together. Let us pray that peace will again flow in the Land of Milk and Honey.
I miss you and await your return.
Love,
Linda |
